Sam's been busy lowering this 1967 Devon
....we've also had a few blue buses in. These ones in for MOTs and general checks
this one is in for a few bits of trim
and this split needs a new dynamo.
Our promotion on waxoil protection has been success - on Friday alone we put 5 buses on the lift
Graham's bus also got a little bit of welding and some new seals.

SO42 update

OK, we've made a start.

First we tidied up the load area a little and got rid of this

from here
all the rot cut out from one side. The remaining chassis was in really good condition. We've taken it back to bare metal and then given it a good coat of special primer - we then go on to do the same on the other side but i'm sure youget the picture
next we sorted out a couple of bits on the rear corner

and we then removed the panel which holds the decklid hinges

that's it for now - plenty more to come on this one soon

SO42 Project

A new project has just arrived from deepest Devon. This SO42 will keep us busy for a few months.

some bits are great, some bits not so great. We will end up replacing most of the roof, floors and a large part of the front end

major impact damage to rear corner
someone has already started for us
poorly roof

looking forward to getting stuck into this one - all fairly easy stuff when you've done it as often as we have.

..........a few other things! Pauls bus has had it's doors and hatches fitted up

Rebecca's bus had a thorough clean and was then undersealed.
Our friendly Snap-on man Mark had an oil temperature gauge fitted, some electrics sorted and the bus was then treated to a good blast of underbody protection.

Mike and Sue's Projects

We've just begun work on Mike and Sue's '62 after a long break. First jobs will be to sort out the rot in the side window apertures and re-seating the elevating roof (all the roof metal is new).

floors and side panels were replaced by 50-67 a couple of years ago
window apertures are full of old repairs done many years ago - we will rip them out and do it properly
The Blue 13 is shaping up well. We have just built up the 6 popouts and trial fitted the front seats.

............more pictures of this one when we've got some more interior in.

7 Oct 2009

Lots going on here at the moment. We still have a few major projects on the go but plenty of routine stuff as well.

Jeff has just about finished the brakes on Paul's ratty split. A new CSP master cylinder kit, discs, callipers and all new hard and soft lines have been fitted. Thanks to Retrodubs for all the parts.
Mike and Sue's bus is now being fitted up by Chris and Sam.
Jem is burried under a load of rust under this split
Jeff upgraded the ignition system on this type4 engined bay with lots of
new kit whilst Sam has done a full assessment for sorting out any poorly metalwork prior to paint. Pauls Hightop rolled in with mashed-up reduction boxes. The bus will now stay with us and get a full IRS conversion
Matt's been getting covered in dust sorting out Mike and Sue's doors. It's not a pretty picture so I'll spare you that!

Friday 2 October 2009

Colin has been busy in the trim shop and has done a superb job on Mike and Sue's front seats
Colin is a Master Trimmer with over 20 years experience - the quality of his work is beyond anything we have been able to offer before ........ we've started stripping and cutting another big project. This t3 is pretty nailed and will be getting a huge amount of new metal.

More tricky bits on Jason's bus, this time the nearside rear corner
we fitted a good bit from a cut-up bus
good as new

next job is the rear end of the roof
