This green split now drives.....................great!

I forgot to post a picture of Christian's front valence last week - so here it is. Christian now has the bus and will continue his home resto.

Jason's Split is being slowly taken apart - this week we are doing the offside - removing all the nasty repairs the bus has

17 June 09

Kates bus is ready to go having had a new flywheel oil seal and a new torque converter to gearbox seal. To make sure the bus doesn't cook itself again we've fitted new gauges so they can keep an eye on the motor. We've also hooked up the water pipes on their bespoke kitchen unit.

This late Golde Sunroof bus is in for a few jobs. We've removed the heat exchangers and fitted new O rings to stop the engine 'blowing'. We've also fitted a temperature gauge and a whole bunch of electrical stuff.

Todays Top Tip...............don't keep your spare fuel in the engine bay! The fuel can has now been removed and put somewhere a little cooler.
............and just because we can................we're doing a full service and sorting a couple ofelectrical niggles on this fantastic MGB

Sam has been blasting his way though the welding on Christian's split - more photos of that when we're done.................there's been enough rusty pictures posted this week :-)

A couple more buses coming in tomorrow - will keep you posted

Tuesday 16 June 2009

We sorted this cool hi-top split's brakes and motor
This orange bus is in for welding and lowering
Rebecca's bus is ready for MOT after a huge dash rewire and welding marathon

.........and Christian's split is in for some welding. He's doing a lot of work himself, we're just going to do the tricky bits for him
New rock and roll bed fitted to this 13 Window

............a few more due in shortly, will post again by the end of the week.

Jason's Split

Lots of plasma cutting and grinding on Jason's bus has left us with more of a clue as to what needs to be done. We are cutting out all the old welding (it's pants) and starting again.

The photo below shows the sill slapped over the top of old metal and then a rear wheelarch over the top of all of it - quality!..................it's all coming out

The outer sill below came off with a couple of hammer blowsmore holes appearing
..............and some more
repro panels about to go to the scrap man

The best bodge yet...................the front seat belt was attached to this panel!!!

The main chassis rails are good as are the I beams - these will be cleaned back to bare metal prior to coating in 99% zinc paint. We will try to keep some original metal in the bus, anything that looks dodgy or won't clean up will be replaced with quality panels

more updates on this bus on Friday
