So much going on ......................

Jeff gave Bretts bus a full brake overhaul, engine service and found his missing gears for him

Sam made up some heavy-duty spreader plates so we can fit 3-point front belts to the 13 Window Project and also repaired the ripped out pop-out retainers

Next week this bus gets a new headliner - it's shaping up now.

A bloke in a yellow coat came to take the 'Crashed' 1967 Bay back to it's owner in Norwich.

Somewhere in the gloom and sparks Sam is fitting the control conduits to the 1959 Devon project.

Crash Damaged 1967 Bay is finished

Well, the Crash Damaged 1967 Bay is finally finished. It's been a hard slog converting a crumpled mess back to something better than when it left the factory - but the team have excelled as ever and done an amazing job.
While we were at it Jeff has fitted new CSP disc brakes and upgraded the master cylinder to a later (non servo) bay cylinder.

1955 Microbus

Work continues on the 1955 Microbus. We have sealed up a few small holes at the rear of the load bed and started work on the cab floor area. The sheet metal in the cab area has survived really well and we have only had to make small repairs to the A pillar. We are using AH Schofield repair panels to sort the floor out

Winter Heat

Marks bus arrived after his recent trip to Spain for a much needed heater upgrade. We've fitted a new Propex Heatsource under the back seat with a thermostatic control in the cab area - the bus is now ready for some winter camping.

we've bolted a few more bits into the cab of the 'crashed' bus and it's looking great - love the interiors in these early Bays

The Crashed Bus is Painted

The crashed bus featured earlier in this Blog is now painted and looking great. There is no way of telling this bus has had a major front-end collision. We are in the process of putting everything back on to it now - quite a big job. Just so it can stop next time we are going to fit 14inch CSP Brakes before it goes back to its owner

More brakes! The '59 is also having a set of CSP Brakes and a twin circuit master cylinder. These early buses have no seatbelt mounts - this one now has. We have gently peeled back the interior metalwork in places and mounted heavy-guage spreader plates and captive seatbelt nuts. We then weld everything back up and bingo - we can fit belts. No point in showing you pictures, Sams welding is so good you can't see whats been modified.

A busy day at 50-67

Cool looking '59 arrives for a series of brake and other safety upgrades.

Early Bay having it's starting issues sorted out.

Brett's bus in to have hi-level seatbelt mounts welded in and 2 3-point belts fitted in the back.
Early Bay in for rear suspension problems.

13 Window Project - rear brakes

The transaxle for the 13 Window is all now built up and fitted to the bus together with the adjustable spingplates. Just the new handbrake cables to sort now and we can get the bus rolling again. Wheels and tyres will be fitted shortly and we can then get the stance of the bus sorted.

13 Window Project Gets New Rear End

The 13 Window Project is going really well. We've junked the old reduction-box transmission and are fitting a 'Bus Boys' straight axle kit, Creative Engineering adjustable springplates AND CSP rear discs. More pictures as we go but here are a few of the progress so far.

bit of a dark picture this one - this is the new gearbox going together with the new axle tubes

1959 Devon Gets a New Loom

Only one photo i'm afraid but that's enough really as wiring is not that exciting. Anyway, here's one photo of some new wires in an extremely rare 1959 Devon. The wiring loom has been adapted from an American spec loom so the bus can still run it's semephore signals.

1955 Microbus

Lots more progress on Tims Bus. Now that the load area is done we have turned our attention to the front end. Although it's fairly solid we have replaced large areas of the inner and outer front valance. Next step is the crashed-damaged front panel - all looking pretty good so far.

New Brakes for the 13 Window Project

The 13 Window project is coming on nicely. This bus is going to get EVERY extra so watch this space for more updates. First job was to junk the old spindles and brakes and fit reconditioned dropped spindles and CSP front discs. We have also replaced the trackrods and shocks while we were at it. A CSP dual circuit master cylinder and all new copper brake lines completed the job.

Next job will be to junk the old transaxle and update the bus with a rebuilt gearbox and rear disc brakes. And this is only the start.................

Crash Damaged 1967 Bay

Lots of progress made in a short period of time. Everything came together really nicely and the bus is solid once again.
