50-67 25th Feb 2010

We've got buses stacking up outside at the moment - never seen so much activity this early in the year. Too much going on to go through everything so here's just a few..........

Jon and Cel's split now has shocks and a steering damper fitted to their slamworks beam - lots of work but the bus is now legal and drives a whole lot better

........a few bays waiting for work

The boys are building up Simon's bus and Colin is doing the interior panels - these look superb
...............and inside we've got quite a bit going on
If you want stuff doing give us a shout. And don't forget to check out the new website www.50-67.com

15 Feb 2010

2010 has been super busy so far - the busiest start we've had since we began trading - surely a sign that it's going to be another good year. Let's hope the weather is a little better this year and we can get out and use our cars and buses.

So, what's on.
First up we have Mike and Sue's bus on the ramp. The underside will be treated to paint, stonechip and then a good dose of waxoyl.
This late bay is in for a new poptop canvas
Our lovely old SO23 is in for a major mechanical going over and a bit of bodywork. The bus will get a rebuilt gearbox and replacement front beam as well as a new jacking point and outer wheelarch

Sam has been tucking into Helens project bus. After weeks of adding structural reinforcement we have just lifted up the roof. More info on this one in another post.
Colin has been busy in the trim shop and has done some great covers for our type4 project car.

Mark's crewcab came in for lookover. We'll be replacing the load cover and sorting out a few other issues with this one.

Jason's Split

A good few days on Jason's split has seen quite a transformation. After LOTS of careful measuring Jeff and Sam finally attached the donor roof peak.

Still looking a bit rough but really getting there
Thick MDF templates were made before the front clip went on to ensure we get the correct gaps.
lots of work still to do on this one but we are really happy with the progress.
