A quick update on Jason's bus. A difficult project this one as we have a fairly routine rotten bottom half but also rotten gutters - we've therefore got to be pretty careful that the bus doesn't distort too much. We have also lost many reference points as so much steel has been removed.
To start we will restore some of the bottom half structure - as it get more solid we can cut out more rot. So.........you can still see rusty bits for now but they will all be removed.


The chassis has been cleaned up and taken back to bare metal..........we then coat it with zinc primer
Then we fitted new Autocraft tophat sections and outriggers

Next is the inner sill
next week we will switch to the other side and do the same. With the basic structure in place we can then fit the outer sills.............

Lots more work to do on this bus. So far it's pretty routine but it will get a bit more interesting once we start sorting the gutters and roof.
