A Quick Update

Very busy here at 50-67. We've had lots of breakdowns to deal with over the half term Holidays and have fixed loads of buses for their MOT tests ready for the camping and show season.

The routine stuff goes on and we've now had a good chance to look over the 23 window. After a good few hours with wire brushes, grinders and cutting discs we can now see what we are up against..........................
it's not pretty but it's all fixable
..........just a few previous repairs to sort!!
The '56 is looking much better. With the front suspension fitted and a new rear end it's finally on 4 wheels after a long time in the air

We have agreed a sale on this fantastic '71 and will now make a few small upgrades for the new owner.
Jason's bus is slowly getting there now. We have completed the roof work - just the dash and floors to sort now
We have passed our cool Type 4 on to Matt Keane. We've really done all we wanted to do with it and it just needed driving.
In it's place we now have a late syncro double cab. Looking forward to getting stuck into this one..........

.............more news as soon as I get the chance

The first is for Gul - these guys - http://www.gul.com/Info/about-gul.aspx
The bus is a super rare 1960 double door walkthrough!

the bus is in quite good shape and will be a great project to work on
.........stand by for updates as we work on it.
The next bus is also very rare - a right hand drive 23 window. I'll fill you in with a few more details in a week or so.
The build on this bus will be featured on the VW Heritage Blog - here - http://blog.vwheritage.com/

a huge project this one but nothing we can't handle

Some recent Jobs

Some general stuff we've been up to recently

Now the sun's out we've been doing lots of recommisioning work and MOTs, we are doing at least one MOT a day at the moment.

This split was brought back to life after a long lay up

Paul's bay now has fresh MOT and is up for sale. £6500 for a rock solid '69 westy with a VW Mexico motor, lowered on BRMs - bargain!!

The '56 has been getting a bit of suspension work and we have a new straight axle to bolt up next week.

.............a couple of buses are nearly ready to go following a LOT of work.

if you are around this weekend pop in and see the interior on this bay - fantastic!

Simon's '57 has a a good going through to sort it for the summer

and this old bay has just had a reconditioned motor fitted and it's electrics sorted.

We've done some work on a few beetles and also a ghia or two - this one got dropped spindles

there's also Tom's 15 that's nearly ready for primer, Helen's bus is starting to shape up, Anouska's so42 is getting there slowly, Jason's will be getting more work shortly..........................quite a lot going on really.
